Infrared heat products
From autumn to winter
How nice that Indian summer was! But now it really is autumn. The winter coats appear more and more on the streets and the desire to turn on the heater is already there. When you use the heater in combination with our infrared heating products, it is best to turn it down a degree. Our products deliver heat where you need it. By heating the body from the inside and not the air around it, no heat is lost. This keeps you nice and warm and is also good for your wallet. Heating elements
All our heat products differ in size. For that reason, one product has 2 heat elements (The.Wrap) and the other has 4 (The.Pillow). The.Plaid has as many as 8 heat elements! By choosing separate elements that are all connected instead of 1 heat surface, the heat is delivered exactly where it is needed. After all, with a back pillow, you want your whole back to be heated and not just a small area. With the technology we use, a large surface can be heated in this way without unnecessarily wasting energy.
Infrared radiation
Infrared heating technology is used, more specifically FIR (Far Infra Red). This is a long-wave infrared, also known as IR-C, which penetrates the deeper layers of the body, heating it from the inside out. In simple terms, it means that water molecules present in ample quantities in humans and animals efficiently absorb energy and convert it into heat. Your body temperature rises as a result, making you feel wonderfully warm while the air around you remains cold.
Battery
Because we think it is important that you can enjoy your product as long as possible without the battery failing, we have matched the power output of our powerbanks to the number of heat elements a product contains. For example, for The.Plaid with 8 elements, a battery of 20,000 mAh supplied, at The.Pillow a battery of 16,000 mAh and at The.Wrap with 2 elements a battery of 10,000 mAh. This way, you can enjoy your product for up to 12 consecutive hours on average without having to charge or change batteries in between. There is no need to buy an extra battery. This saves costs and is better for the environment.
Temperature
The heat given off at the highest red setting goes up to 65 degrees. Yet you won't experience this because this is the heat measured directly at the heat elements in the inner sleeve. Before this heat reaches you, it has to pass through the outer cover. After all, a pillow should also look nice, be nice and soft and you want to be able to wash it from time to time.
For this reason, the wind chill temperature at the highest setting is 45 degrees. This is the temperature we consider safe and responsible. Because temperature is often seen as the most important factor by customers, the 65 degrees is hardly ever used in our communications. This creates confusion and expectations that we cannot live up to. We assume that, as a customer, you want to know what you actually feel in terms of heat.
Experience
What is important to mention is that with products where the elements are pressed directly against the body when in use, as is the case with pillows, the experience of warmth will be different than with The.Plaid. Our heat blankets often lie loose around or over you. This gives a lovely warm and comfortable feeling but may be experienced as less intense than with the pillows. However, the effect on the body is exactly the same. In all cases, the infrared radiation penetrates deep into the body and heats it from the inside out.
Although our products should not be seen as medical objects, the heat given off can relieve aching muscles or joints. Above all, we aim to let as many people as possible enjoy fine, comfortable warmth in an energy-efficient way!
